Why I'm Running

Good intentions are not enough. Leadership must deliver.

Sorie Sulaiman Sesay is currently seeking the party's nomination to contest the presidency.

For more than two decades, I have worked inside Sierra Leone's development system — not observing it from a podium, but building it from within: designing the grants that reached local councils, coordinating the programmes that put feeder roads through fifteen districts, and helping smallholder farmers turn their harvests into income. I have seen, up close, what good implementation looks like, and what happens when it is missing.

Good intentions are not enough. Leadership must deliver. That is the case I bring to this moment — not a wish-list to win an election, but a plan to govern: a Sierra Leone where every family can live with dignity, earn a living, and afford to stay.

We are not a poor country in what we possess. We are a poorly organised one in how we have used it. Fixing that is not a slogan. It is the work I have already spent my career doing, and the work I am ready to lead at the national level.
